We often get asked how we manage the well-being of our largest residents.

The sheep are getting sheared and we’re all just a little bit jealous!

While the rest of us may have to endure really bad COVID hair for just a bit longer, the sheep at HEEFS have been busy scheduling their annual May shearing appointments with caregivers, Andrea, Alison, Cheri, Jen and Nicole. At HEEFS we always strive to provide a safe, secure home for our residents that allows them to be who they are and experience life on their own terms. Part of this includes how we feed our residents.

Individualized care is what HEEFS is dedicated to and that dedication starts when a resident arrives and continues throughout their life with us. Individualized care means that each resident is continually assessed for their health and comfort, and we do everything possible to ensure their needs are met.

We have an amazing family of volunteers at HEEFS. Together they have helped create a culture of kindness that we crave from the outside world. Without their amazing generosity and constant displays of unselfishness, we at HEEFS would simply not be able to exist.

In the course of a busy day at HEEFS, we always try to set aside special time to share with residents who may need a little extra TLE – Tender Loving Enrichment.
